# LONGi Solar- SBTi

Het Wereld Natuur Fonds (WWF) heeft in 2015 het initiatief Wetenschap Koolstofdoelstellingen (SBTi) opgezet, een wereldwijd initiatief in samenwerking met het Centrum voor wereldwijde milieu-informatie en -onderzoek (CGIAR), het World Resources Institute (WRI), en het programma van het Verenigde Naties Global Compact (UNGC). Het project biedt sectorspecifieke instrumenten en praktische bijstand om bedrijven te helpen hun eigen emissiereductiedoelstellingen vast te stellen die aanzienlijk lager liggen dan de decarbonisatiedoelstelling van 2°C of 1,5°C van de Intergouvernementele Werkgroep inzake Klimaatverandering van de Verenigde Naties (IPCC).

LONGI heeft zich formeel aangesloten bij het initiatief van de wetenschappelijke koolstofdoelstellingen (SBTi) en heeft de SBTi-belofte op de 27e Wereldmilieudag ingediend. Bij de formele indiening van de SBTi-belofte stelt LONGI de SBTi op met de hulp en begeleiding van het initiatiefcomité, en zal het deze aan het publiek bekendmaken nadat het comité ze heeft bestudeerd.
