LONGi partners with SumSol as distributor in Spain, serving more than 3.000 installers -LONGi
LONGi has today announced a new agreement with SumSol, one of the largest solar product distributors in Spain, based in Madrid. SumSol supplies photovoltaic panels to more than three thousand customers throughout the Iberian peninsula. The two firms have launched their collaboration with an initial contract for two years and LONGi’s latest series of high-efficiency modules, the Hi-MO 6, as SumSol’s flagship. SumSol will be among the first distributors to market the Hi-MO 6 in Spain and has added the module series as a premium product to its catalogue.
Compared to the Hi-MO 5, the Hi-MO 6 offers a higher performance, more power per surface area (>4.5%), a greater efficiency (22.5-23.2%), less degradation in the short and long term, and a lower temperature coefficient (-0.29%/ºC), as well as a product warranty ranging between 15 to 25 years, depending on the model.
“The Spanish market is growing constantly and LONGi wants to be present by collaborating with leading companies in the sector like SumSol. We are very satisfied with this new cooperation,” said Clara Monfort, head of LONGi Sales for Iberia.
“We are proud to become a member of the exclusive list of LONGi distributors in Spain. At SumSol we are convinced that collaborating with cutting-edge manufacturers is the only way to develop and implement solar energy breakthroughs. By combining the experience of our brands, we will be able to offer our customers the solutions they are demanding: products where quality and service are foremost,” added Antonio Antón López, managing director of SumSol.
“We are happy to start working with a significant distributor such as SumSol. This will support us in consolidating our market position, which is already a strong one in the Iberian market,” concluded Francesco Emmolo, LONGi Sales Director for southern Europe.
The Hi-MO 6 module is now available for SumSol customers
LONGi’s Hi-MO 6 is a new generation of modules based on the efficient HPBC cell technology. It is mainly used in the distributed generation market and has the characteristics of aesthetics, efficiency, reliability, and intelligence. LONGi offers four versions of the series, to serve a range of product performance and application scenarios: Explorer, Scientist, Guardian, and Artist. The first two are already available for customers, while the Guardian and Artist will follow later in the year 2023. Explorer is the base version of the series, with an HPBC cell efficiency in excess of 25% and a module efficiency maximum of 22.5%. Scientist is the pro variant and has an HPBC cell efficiency maximum of 25.3% and a module efficiency maximum of 23.2%.
In terms of appearance, Hi-MO6 adopts the pioneering front-gridless technology to simplify the complexity and redefine the aesthetic concept of photovoltaic products. It reflects the minimalist aesthetics of a modern industrial design and can be naturally and harmoniously matched with various application scenarios.
Moreover, the HPBC cell adopts a full back welding technology to effectively improve the anti-hidden crack feature of the modules. This is matched with LONGi’s product lifecycle management to maximize product reliability.
