LONGi and Zhejiang Thermal Power agree module supply contract for Egyptian project-LONGi
LONGi has announced the signing of a contract with Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction for the supply of high-efficiency mono PERC bifacial modules to the Kom Ombo project in Egypt.
The project is located some 805km south of Cairo and 78km northwest of Aswan and will have an installed capacity of 200MWac and a DC capacity of 230MW, as well as a 220kV booster station. The developer is ACWA Power and the EPC contract fulfilled by a consortium of China Power Engineering Consult and Zhejiang Thermal Power, from the China Energy Engineering Company (CEEC) group.
The project will provide power for 130,000 households and eliminate an annual 336,000 tons of carbon emissions, contributing to Egypt's energy transition and providing additional impetus to the country's economic and social growth.
Mr. Yu Wei, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Zhejiang Thermal Power, and LONGi Group vice president Dennis She were in attendance at the signing ceremony.
