# LONGi-Objetivos Basados en Ciencia SBTi

Objetivos Basados en Ciencia (SBTi) es una iniciativa global lanzada en 2015 por el Fondo Mundial para la Naturaleza (WWF) en colaboración con el Centro de Información e Investigación Ambiental Global (CDP), el Instituto de Recursos Mundiales (WRI) y el Proyecto del Pacto Mundial de las Naciones Unidas (UNGC). Esta iniciativa ofrece recursos específicos para cada sector y orientaciones prácticas para ayudar a las empresas a establecer sus propios objetivos de reducción de emisiones, muy por debajo de los niveles de descarbonización de 2 °C o 1,5 °C evaluados por el Grupo Intergubernamental de Expertos sobre el Cambio Climático (IPCC) de las Naciones Unidas.

Con motivo del 27º Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, LONGi se unió oficialmente a la iniciativa mundial SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) y presentó su carta de compromiso SBT. Tras la presentación, LONGi se propuso establecer sus objetivos basados en ciencia con el apoyo y la orientación del comité de la iniciativa.
