(LONGi) has announced plans to establish its ***Future Energy Spacelab.*** The project is aimed at forging effective industry-research on application of clean energy in outer space, creating new energy and related industries, as well as the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.  ![](https://blog.nastechsolar.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/energy_sapcelab_2022091501_21da7112a1-2.jpg) As the first major project after the establishment of the Future Energy Spacelab, LONGi’s new product will be sent to outer space, accepting severe space environment tests, and exploring the reliability of new products in the space environment. In combination with the experimental results, the actual environment of outer space is simulated on the ground to monitor the changes in the relevant performance of the product, so as to lay a theoretical and experimental foundation for promoting the practical application of the product and broaden the application field of the product. This will be the first time LONGi has sent its products to outer space, and it will also be a new exploration and upgrading of the company to improve product performance and verify product reliability. Professor Martin Green, known as the ‘Father of photovoltaics’ from the University of New South Wales in Australia, and many experts, scholars and media in the energy and photovoltaic industry congratulated the establishment of LONGi Future Energy Spacelab through video clips. “It’s very exciting to see the establishment of LONGi Future Energy Spacelab. I wish LONGi and its partners all the best in the new journey.” Professor Martin Green said that in the past few years, LONGi has made great contributions to the substantial reduction of photovoltaics costs, helping photovoltaics become the cheapest power energy in history.
