Fortune released the 2021 Future 50 List (Future 50) recently, and LONGi came out in the 42nd place, ranking first among the PV enterprises on the list.
As a joint product of Fortune and BCG (Boston Consulting Group), the Future 50 assesses the long-term growth prospects of the world’s largest publicly traded companies based on indicators and signals of their future potential. It complements traditional performance metrics as a way to reflect a company’s future potential.
According to Fortune, the value of "vitality" will be manifested sooner or later, but not always fully in the short term. In face of the threats and challenges brought by COVID-19, the enterprises that are able to create opportunities will be more resilient to fight against shocks, adapt to the changing environment, and thrive in a new environment . Among them, renewable energy companies in the 2021 list represented by LONGi performed excellently, which indicated increasing concern about sustainable development issues.
Fortune also published the two criteria for selecting the Future 50: top-down, market-based assessment of a company’s potential, and bottom-up analysis of its capacity to deliver growth. As stated by the criteria, LONGi, always focusing on the future technology development, has not only kept stable operations and sustainable development but also been highly engaged in R&D in the previous year.
